Festive Fireplace Mantels - Holiday Decorating Ideas
Embellished fireplace mantels create a cozy and festive focal point in any space. When transforming my office for the holidays, I knew I wanted to decorate my fireplace mantel to make the entire space come to life. To share my holiday design ideas with you, I created 3 different looks, all of which are easy to recreate and alter to fit your own home. Happy holidays!
1. Mercury Glass & Candle Mantel Decor
The first look is one that is effortlessly chic. I took a bunch of silver mercury glass trees and placed them on my mantel, paired with multiple heights of candles which provided just the right amount of warmth. I filled the interior of my fireplace with glowing candles as well - this is a great trick for older fireplaces that no longer work!
2. Traditional Red & Green Mantle Garlands
For the second look, I used traditional Christmas colors of red and green to create a fun, timeless fireplace mantel that even Santa would be proud of. I started with a classic green garland and wove red silk flowers, berries and fabric leaves throughout it. Glittery light green leaves added wonderful dimension and the perfect finishing touch!
3. Modern Christmas Mantel With Silver Ornaments & Black Velvet Ribbon
For the final look, I accented a simple green holiday garland with a black velvet ribbon and lots of different sized round silver ornaments to create a chic, sophisticated, modern mantel. It looks incredibly luxe but is so simple to put together and will last for years and years!
