3 Fall Trends to Uplevel Your Client’s Next Event

With Fall event season skyrocketing in popularity, you might feel a little pressure to follow tried-and-true trends during the design process. The reality is that our clients are always on the lookout for the next best thing, even if they’re getting some inspiration from what’s already out there.

With that in mind, I’m here to share my most highly requested Fall trends to help you create something on-brand (yet bespoke!) for your next client event.

Rich green jewel tones + mixing neutrals

‘Tis the season for beautifully layered color palettes, and you know that I’m always a fan of rich jewel tones! Deep emerald greens are particularly flattering, giving your client’s event a darker edge while still looking polished and elevated. Some may want something a little more classic with just the slightest pop of green poking through, so mixing in neutral hues can soften an otherwise intense look. However, if your client wants to go all in, opting for varying gradients of emerald and moss colors gives a lovely monochromatic feel.

I personally love the ‘dark romance’ concept when it comes to leaning into moody colorways for Fall, so I highly recommend going with something seasonal yet timeless.

Lush, dimensional centerpieces

There’s nothing better than stunning your client’s guests with florals, and tablescapes are the perfect place to do so. Hanging floral installations are a fan favorite, but why not bring your stunning centerpieces down to eye level?

Incorporate florals into every touchpoint within the event, including dinnertime. Consider going for a textured vibe, arranging flowers of all shapes and sizes for something that guests can interact with. Some of my most popular, well-received designs are those that mimic bringing the garden aesthetic indoors. Make sure that there’s plenty of space on your reception tables to go for that overgrown look!

Luxury entrance decor

You really want to ‘wow’ guests before they enter an event – it can set the stage for an unforgettable experience and make your client’s big day even more special. Luxury entrance décor and fixtures are the perfect way to pull this off in an impactful way.

My top tip for this is to think about how you can lean into the existing architecture of your client’s venue. Do they have pillars or geometrical elements and arches you can accentuate with florals or rentals? Visualize where the guests will be entering as well – where would their eye be naturally drawn to? Figure out the structure from there for a gorgeous photo op.

Fall event trends don’t have to be limited to singular ideas of what ‘seasonal’ traditionally looks like. Going outside of the box can bring your event to new heights – don’t be afraid to test your creativity and experiment!
