Dazzling Guests with Holiday Centerpieces

As holiday season quickly approaches, every detail matters and every element plays a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for your client’s event. Exquisite centerpieces are the star of the show in any event, especially when it comes to cozy gatherings around the dinner table during the holidays.

I am thrilled to share my top tips for adding a touch of magic to any festive occasion, and help you design centerpieces that not only capture the essence of the holiday season but also leave a lasting impression on your clients!

Seasonal colors and classic florals

You can’t go wrong with leaning into rich, traditional colors of red and green. Incorporate some gorgeous roses, poinsettias, or even some bleached, earthy tones as we head into Fall holidays. Garland is also a must-have and can be locally sourced.

White floral centerpieces are a no-brainer for winter, and there’s plenty of creative freedom to mix in some cream hues to brighten up a dimly lit dinner party.

Non-floral accents

Sometimes, the best way to enhance a holiday centerpiece is by springing for non-floral accents. Berries, cinnamon sticks, or other dried fruits like pomegranates are perfect to set the scene with a lovely scent, and they give off a Renaissance-inspired look when paired with a silk or chiffon table runner.

Metallic ornaments or antique silver are some of my favorite additions, and they can add some much needed sparkle. Add in some votives and candlesticks for a luxe feel and take advantage of the reflective elements!

Velvet textures for dimension

I love adding a bit of texture to an otherwise soft centerpiece, and velvet is the way to go here. Black velvet ribbon coupled with an all-white floral arrangement is incredibly chic and timeless.

Nothing brings warmth and sophistication to the holidays like a lush velvet tablescape. Monochromatic palettes are also easy to achieve with this – think matte dinnerware and muted, dark neutrals to pair with this stunning fabric.

In the world of luxury events, holiday centerpieces serve as the pièce de résistance that can elevate an occasion to something extravagant. Your arrangements can be enchanting focal points, from the choice of seasonal blooms and foliage to the careful consideration of color palettes and textures.
